How to Hang Wooden Letters Securely and Easily
You just received your rustic wooden letters and are ready to display them on your wall, but how? When it comes to hanging wooden letters there are several great options.
Regardless of the method that you are going to use for hanging the letters, the first step is to plan where on the wall you will be hanging them. Use a level to mark the baseline that will be the position of the bottom of the letters.
Command Strips for Hanging Wooden Letters
The best way to hang wooden letters is using hanging strips like Command Damage-Free Hanging Strips. These strips work great for our rustic wooden letters. The great thing about this option is that you won't do any damage to your walls. They also make it easy to move the letters if you decide to change your display or repaint your wall later.
It helps to first wipe the backs of the letters with a damp cloth as well as the wall to make sure there is no dust. Next, attach the strips. Most letters will only require two or three strips. The packaging for the strips will give you some guidance on how much weight they can hold.
Once the strips are attached to the letters, you simply peal the paper off of them to expose the adhesive. You can now press them onto your wall.
Hanging Letters from Ribbon, String or Twine
Another option that may fit your look is to use string, ribbon or twine to hang your letters. For this method, cut the string or ribbon twice as long as the distance you want the letter to hang from the mounting point. Hot glue can be used to attach the ends of the string to the back of the letter. Attach one end of the string to each side of the letter. Then use a small nail or tack in the wall to hang the letter from.
